21 June 2018
Our wedding is formal / black tie optional. The ceremony is outside for about 30 minutes, but the rest of the event occurs indoors. (The groomsmen aren’t wearing tuxedos but nobody’s gonna fault ya for keeping it classy.)
Boston traffic is unpredictable, unless you’re on foot or on a bicycle. That means always give yourself at least 30 minutes leeway, unless you are staying in one of our room-block hotels, which are within walking distance. Everyone should be seated by 5:00 pm in the Centanni Park outside the Multicultural Arts Center.
Because we have a strict limit on the number of guests that can be accommodated by our caterer and the venue, please only bring yourself and those we included on your invitation. If you’re a parent and your children are not in our wedding party, we hope you can make arrangements to keep them safe while you enjoy the night off.
Please don’t take any pictures during the ceremony. We don’t mind if you take photos during the reception, but otherwise keep that device in your pocket! Our lovely photographer friend Megan Sollis will be taking photos during the event and we don’t want a sea of devices in her shots.
It is #HafenQuinn2018. But remember to put your cellphone away and live in the moment!
No, our names will remain the same.
The room-block hotels are about 8 minutes walk from the venue. Alternatively, you can take a Lyft and get there in less time. If you need to be close by for accessibility reasons, you can park in the East Cambridge Parking Garage for $5 on the day of (cash only).
The ceremony begins at 5:00pm; the cocktail hour begins at 6:00pm; the reception begins at 7:00pm. Dinner will be served around 7:30pm, and cake at about 9:00pm. The venue closes at 11:00pm. We plan to have an after party (if you’re interested), at an off-site venue, which closes at 2:00am.
Yup, lots of ’90s and turn-of-the-millennium tunes.
The reception features a buffet-style dinner. There are vegetarian options. If you have dietary restrictions or allergies, please be sure to let us know in your RSVP.
Incidentally, since we’re in a government building, we’re not allowed to have a cash bar. Which means there will be an open bar! For the teetotalers among us, there will also be a soda bar with lots of flavors.
Yes. There is a separate, accessible path you can take inside the building, to access the Theater or Gallery Rooms. An event manager will be onsite to assist.
